Some of the servants amused themselves by throwing him up and down.

Don Quixote shouted angrily from outside the wall. He said he would kill all of them. But this had no result. The game went on until they were all tired. Then Sancho was allowed to
go. Getting on his donkey, Sancho rode sadly after his master.

"Take a drink of this," said the knight. He offered a bottle of magic medicine to Sancho. "You will s
oon forget all your pain and troubles."

But Sancho did not look pleased. "Do you want to kill me?" he asked. "Keep it for yourself. I want no more of it."

Sancho Is Unhappy

After that, they rode on for some time without speaking. Then Don Quixote spoke: "I am sure," he said, "that the inn (or ca
stle) was a magic one. Those wicked men who played a game with you are from another world."

"This is foolish talk," said Sancho, who did not believe his master as much as before. "Th
ey were men of this world, like me. We should go home and work on the farm. While we look for good luck, we only find bad luck. I am tired of this foolish journey."
