| He was very weak, and he thought he was going to die. His master found him in this sad condition, and tried to comfort him. He said that the medicine was good only for knights. He left Sancho lying there, and went to get Rozinante and the donkey. Don Quixote Leaves the Inn All the people of the inn were watching him. He spoke to the inn-keeper, whom he thought was the governor of the castle. He thanked him for t his kindness, and offered his help as a knight. "The only help I ask," said the inn-keeper, "is that you pay me." This made Don Quixote very angry. He told the man that he was wicked to speak to a knight like this. Then he rode away before anyone could stop him. When he had gone some distance, he looked back to see what Sancho was doing. At the same time, he hea rd loud cries coming from the inn. It sounded as if someone was being beaten. Expecting a new adventure, he rode back, but found the door locked. But on the other side of the inn wall, he could see hi s fat squire rising and falling in the air.
