When you're taking or leaving spoken messages, you need to ensure you listen carefully or speak clearly. Both of these skills are connected and so by practising one, you will help yourself with the other.
You can practise these skills in many ways – use some good internet sites, at the cinema, TV shows, DVDs and videos...there are many ways to improve your listening. When you watch and listen, look at how the characters move their mouths and try and copy them to yourself. You need to try and work on improving your pronunciation so that others can understand you better.
Don't worry if it's difficult at first – it takes time ! Good luck !
