2008年奥运会日益临近了。在北京，无论男女老幼都很关心并积极参与其中，96岁高龄的李淑芬就是其中一员。李淑芬老人自北京申奥成功以来，用六年时间精心制作了200多本剪纸集，祝福北京奥运。老人所剪的都是中国经典名著中的人物和故事，每一幅精美的作品都透着她对中国传统文化的理解。甚至北京奥组委主席刘淇知道此事后，也亲自拜会了她，打算将她的剪纸作为国家级礼品，赠送给各国体育代表团。李淑芬知道此事后高兴极了，因为她终于实现了向全世界传达中国人热爱生活、热爱和平的愿望。

Everybody is Busy for the Olympics

The 2008 Olympic Games is drawing near. People in Beijing are preparing for its coming. 96 year old Li Shufen is one of them. She spent six years cutting 200 copies of paper-cuts for the Olympics. Her paper-cuts focus on the stories and heroes in Chinese classics and show her understanding of our traditional culture. Liuqi, Chair of Beijing Olympic Committee visited her and decided to use her paper-cuts as gifts  representing our government to the committee members of other countries during the Olympic Games. Li was very glad at it, for she finally realized her dream of extending love and good wills of Chinese people to the world through her paper-cuts.
