在汉语写作中我们常使用夸张的手法来表达一些比较重要的意思，英文也不例外。cost a arm and a leg就是这样一个片语。

　　 One's lips are sealed实际上是一个短小的句子，从字面上看，它的意思是"某人的嘴唇是封闭着的"， 这就很形象的表明"某人的嘴已经不能说话"，当然就暗示有"保守秘密"的意思了。If we say that someone's lips are sealed, we used to say that he or she will not tell anyone about a secret. For example:
