夏日的夜晚，如果你走进这个街边小公园，一阵阵美妙的歌声就会随着略带几丝凉意的晚风飘入你的耳中。这就是传说中的从每晚6点唱到10点的"公园歌唱家"在演唱了！快步上前一看，一群老百姓围聚在一起，里外分成好几层，像是买了高中低三档门票似的。虽然这是完全免费的演唱会，但如果想获得"高档票"的待遇，唯一的办法就是晚上来得早点。
If you go to a Chinese park on a summer evening, probably you could hear beautiful singings carried to your ears by the cool night breeze. They are from people who are singing in the park from 6 to 10 every evening. Walking closer, you could find a large group of people gathering there. They are standing in a concentric circle. People in the center can have a better view of the performance than others. Though it is a totally free concert, you still have to come earlier if you'd like to get a better place to enjoy it.
演唱会开始了。伴奏的乐器很简单，手风琴、二胡和笛子。演员正式登台的过程并不复杂，因为他们总在这里演出，所以观众也都熟悉整个演出的过程。不过登台之前的一些礼仪还是有的，演员们会向观众问好，鞠躬。伴奏响起，歌声穿透暖湿的空气传播出来，果然美妙。演员们唱得很熟练，表情也很自然丰富，颇有专业演员的风范，一首接着一首。他们演唱的歌曲以民歌居多，比如《爱我中华》、《敖包相会》......还有时下的流行歌曲，比如《月亮之上》、《千里之外》......有的"明星"就在观众旁边"候场"， 有的观众也跃跃欲试，想上台一展身手，而且还各自找好了最佳搭档。这些演员每天演出的曲目基本是固定的，都是每人拿手的歌曲。
The concert starts. The accompanying instruments are quite simple, usually accordions, two-stringed Chinese fiddles and bamboo flutes. It is not very complicated for the singers to get on the stage since they always perform in this park and the audience has been familiar with the procedures already. But the greeting to the audience is still a must. As the performance begins, it is really enjoyable to hear the songs drifting in such warm and humid air. The singers are experienced and natural in poise, no differing from the professionals. Mostly they sing folk songs but also mingle with some pop songs at present. The next performer is usually waits for his/her turn in the midst of the crowd and sometimes even the viewers want to show their voice on the stage and even find partners beforehand. The songs they choose are always the same, which they are really good at.
夜色深沉，我从人群中走出来。回头看看身后的台子，其实就是一个水泥的小亭子，歌声就是从那飘散出来的。可能在一般人眼中，那只是一个小亭子，而在"观众"和"演员"心中，这里却是一块获得快乐的风水宝地。至少在夏日的夜晚，这里给人们带来了很多快乐和美好的回忆。歌声渐渐远去，路灯下那座亭子逐渐模糊......聆听"公园歌唱家"的歌声，其实就是这么简单而又快乐。
As it has been late at night, I withdraw from the crowd and look back. The stage is no more than a very small pavilion, but it means a land of happiness to the performers and audience. At least in such a summer evening, it will bring them fun and good memories. The singings gradually disappear and the pavilion lit by the streetlamp looks vague... Enjoying music can be such a simple but wonderful experience.
