HOT

This time we are going to look at different meanings of the word: hot. All the words are synonyms of hot but they could refer to the weather, temperature, food, clothes or feelings.
1. It was a scorching day, in fact it was the hottest day of August.

2. Be careful when you drink that coffee, it's boiling hot.

3. The weather is hot and muggy and so oppressive, it is stifling. I feel I can't breathe。

4. Wow! This food is really spicy. The peppers are red-hot.

5. I hear that new Ang Lee film is pretty sensual and the main actress is really hot!

6. Peter is an ardent socialist, he goes to all the party meetings.

7. Carol controlled her anger very well but underneath she was smoldering with indignation.

8. John is very hot blooded. He is so passionate about things, he is always getting into fights.
