Baidu Inc. (BIDU) has broken ground at the site of a new office at the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, the search engine operator said Monday. The building will accommodate 10,000 employees and should open in 2015.
搜索引擎运营商百度(Baidu Inc.)周一说，该公司位于深圳的新办公楼已经破土动工。新办公楼将可以容纳一万名员工，计划于2015年投入使用。
It will be Baidu's operations center for southern China and also its headquarters for international operations, the company said.
百度说，深圳新办公楼将作为百度在华南的运营中心，也将是国际运营业务总部。
'The mobile Internet and internationalization are the key directions of Baidu's future growth,' Chief Executive Robin Li said in a statement, adding that the Shenzhen office will also serve as a development base for mobile Internet technology.
百度首席执行长李彦宏在声明中说，移动互联网和国际化是百度未来增长的主要方向。他还说，深圳办公楼还将作为移动互联网技术的研发基地。
