The old home town looks the same

As I step down from the train

And there to meet me is my Mama and PaPa

Down the road I look and there runs Mary

Hair of gold and lips like cherries

It's good to touch the green green,grass of home

Yes,they'll all come to meet me arms reaching sweeting

The old house is still standing

though the paint is cricket and dry

And there's that old oak tree that I used to play on

Down the lane I walk with Mary

Then I awake and look around me

At four gray walls that surround me

And I realize yes I was only dreaming

There's a guard,and there's a sad old padre

Arm and arm we'll walk at day break

Again I'll touch the green green,grass of home

Yes,they'll all come to see me

in the shade of that old oak tree

As they lay me neath

我走下火车

古老的故乡依然如昨

父母在向我招手

路的一端我看见

玛丽在向我飞奔

缕缕金发和樱桃似的红唇

抚摸故乡的青青绿草

这感觉真好

那古老的屋子还在

只是油漆已经斑驳

那株老橡树还在

我曾在上面玩耍

和亲爱的玛丽一同

走在那条小巷

当我醒来,环顾四周

只见四堵灰色的墙

我才知道那是梦

我看到哨兵,天色微明

我们手拉手走着

我会再次抚摸

在那株老橡树的浓荫下

它们都出来看我

躺在我的身下
