1.设计目标
本单元的教学目标是闲聊在英语表达中的定义和操练。为了让学生学会英语中的闲聊，制定本项目化设计。
1．通过课前任务的设计，达到如下目标：
1）使学生了解周围人们进行闲聊时说的话题是什么。
2）让学生就某个话题和陌生人进行闲聊，把他们的对话记录下来，并且填写表格，做好课前准备工作，对新课有一定的了解。
3）让学生思考哪些是可以用来闲聊的话题，哪些话题不适合闲聊。
2．通过课后任务的设计，达到如下目标：
1）让学生思考中西方文化差异，在课前任务完成的表格基础上，填写西方国家闲聊时话题表格，使学生进一步了解中西方文化差异。
2）给学生一个话题，让他们和同伴进行对话编排，使他们学会用所学的内容做事情。
二．课前任务：
1．Go to the bus stop,the park,the movies,the restaurant in your spare time to see how strangers start a small talk.What do they talk about? Try to make a small talk with strangers ,write down what you talk about and then fill in the chart. 让学生课余时间分别到车站，公园，电影院，餐馆等地方观察陌生人是如何进行闲聊的，他们都聊些什么呢？并请学生也和他人就某个话题进行交流，把他们的对话记录下来。小组合作填写下面的表格： ( 中国人闲聊话题)

2．思考哪些话题是适合西方国家陌生人之间闲聊的，哪些是不适合的。了解中西方文化差异。
