4 This activity gives students listening, speaking, reading, and
writing practice using the target language.
Call attention to the
survey on page 82 and read the first three questions to the class. Then point out the spaces for students to write questions 4 through 8. Say, You can write your own questions here.
Then point to the three blank spaces where can write in names. Say, You can ask other students the questions. You can write their names here and their answers under their names. Point to the columns of answer blanks below each name.
Say, Now write five more questions for your survey, You can get ideas from the
survey in activity 2b. Give students several minutes to finish
writing their questions.
Help students form groups of three. Then say, Ask other students in your group questions about
healthy and unhealthy habits. Use the eight questions on your survey. Point out the name space and answer spaces again. Say, Write each student's name at the top and write that student's answers below his or her name.
As students work, move around the room monitoring progress.
Ask some students to read their new questions to the class. Ask the class how
healthy they think most students in the class are.
