Chinese food is more expensive in Britain than it is in China. But it is possible to buy many dishes and ingredients in shops in the UK.

Chinese restaurants in Britain aren't as good as they are at home because there aren't as many ingredients available.

So because not all Chinese vegetables can be grown in the UK, some are imported. This makes them more expensive. Sometimes vegetables are more expensive than meat!

Fish and Chips are considered to be traditional British food. People in Britain like to eat food from all over the world. Nowadays, families are just as likely to eat an Indian curry, an Italian pizza, or a Mexican taco as they are fish and chips.
