        班里公开选举班花。小丽是个才女，但是相貌平平。她大胆地走上讲台，发表自己的竞选演说："各位兄弟姐妹，虽然我长相一般，但是我希望大家投我一票。几年以后，在座的姐妹们结婚了，可以骄傲地对你们先生说'我上大学的时候，比我们的班花还漂亮。'"

        结果小丽的演说打动了所有人，她以全票当选"班花"。

There was an electioncontest for Class Beauty. Xiao Li was a talented girl, but quite plain-looking. She walked to the speaker's platform with courage and delivered her election speech, "Dear classmates, although I am an ordinary-looking girl, I hope all of you can vote for me. After a few years, when girls in our class get married, you can speak to your husbands proudly, 'When I was in college, I am prettier than the Class Beauty.'"

As a result, her speech won everyone over. She was elected as "Class Beauty" unanimously.

 1. 一般来说，用"先生"来称呼成年的男性，如果在"先生"前面加上人的姓或者姓名，就可以用来称呼具体的人，如：崔先生（Cuī xiānsheng）。此外，如果你是位已婚女性，"我先生"就是我丈夫，文中的"先生"就是丈夫的意思。你可以这样介绍你的丈夫：这是我先生。（Zhè shì wǒ xiānsheng.）

Generally speaking, "先生" is used to address male adults. If a family name is used in front of "先生", it can be used to address a person, for example "崔先生（Cuī xiānsheng, Mr Cui)". Besides if you were a married woman, "我先生" means "my husband." In this context, "先生" means husband. You can introduce your husband to other people as "这是我先生。（Zhè shì wǒ xiānsheng, This is my husband.）"

2."A比B还......"的格式用来比较，表示B已经有了一定的程度，A则在这程度上比B又高了一层。如：
他比姚明还高。
Tā bǐ Yáo Mínɡ hái ɡāo.
这句话的意思是姚明很高，和姚明比起来，他更高。

The pattern"A比B还......" is used for comparison. It means B already reaches a certain level, but A is even higher than B in this level. For example:
Tā bǐ Yáo Mínɡ hái ɡāo.
他比姚明还高。
He is even taller Yao Ming.
This sentence means that Yao Ming is tall, but he is even taller.
