Unit 1
Step1. warmer
1.Introduces some of the new vocabulary.

2.Have the studentswork in pairs,they have to ask and answer questions
about the colour.

---What colour is the strap?
---It’s orange.
Step2.presention
Show two different bags to the students,one is beautiful ,the other is just so so , then tell the students :
I prefer this one because it’s more beautiful.
Have students to make sentences.
(1)I prefer English because it’s easier.
(2)I prefer blue because it’s more beautiful.
Step3.listen point and read
1.Play the tape and tell the pupils to point at the relevant pictures as they listen to the tape.
2. Play the tape ,pause after each utterance and get the pupils to repeat the sentence.

Step3.Act it out.
1.Put the students into groups of three.Assign the roles of Ms Smart,Lingling and the sales assistant to individual students in each group.
2.Now choose one group and have them perform in front of the class.Repeat this with other groups.
Step4.Look and say.
1.Get the students to look at the pictures and describe them.
2.Explain that they have to work in pairs.Students A describe one thing about one of the bags and Student B has to say which picture it is.
3.Now have the students continue the activity in pairs.They should take turns to describe the bags.

Step1.warmer.
1.Show some pairs of objects (pens,books,bags,pencils…)to the students,and point to one of them and say,“I like this bag.’’Now point to the other bag and say,“I prefer the black bag.’’Follow the same procedure for the remaining pairs of objects.
2.Hold up pairs of objects and ask students questions,they have to stand up and say which object they prefer

Step2.Listen and learn.
1.Get the students to look at the pictures and identify the objects, then call out the names of the objects and they have to point to them.
2.Have the students read the dialogue.Explain to the students that they will listen to the tape .They will hear the reasons why the boy /girl prefers different items or activities.

Boy :I prefer football.
Girl:Why?
Boy:Because it’s more fun.
3.Play the tape once and let the students listens listen. Play it a second time,pause it after each dialogue, have the students point to the correct picture.Play it a third time ,pause it after each utterance for the students to repeat.
4.Put the students in pairs .let them ask and answer each other.
