  Activity 1 Look at learning outcomes

  Activity 2 Picture labeling

To help students understand the meaning of the new vocabulary, use the picture sheet.  Students can label the pictures using the words you've written on the board in Activity 1.  Then they can check their answers with a partner.  Students can refer to this sheet during the activities that follow.

You can say, Try to label the pictures.  Look at the words on the board.  Then check your answers with a partner.

  活动2:给图片贴标识

用活页图集帮助学生理解新单词的意思。同学们可以用在你写在黑板上的活动1里的单词去标志这些图片。然后可以 俩人一组来检查答案是否正确。学生们可在下一个活动参考这个活页图集。

教师可以说:Try to label the pictures.  Look at the words on the board.  Then check your answers with a partner.

  Activity 3 Listen to the story and then retell the story.

Watch the movie. 

Using the pictures as a guide, students work in pairs to try to retell the story.  This can be done as a speaking activity or a writing activity.

You can say, With a partner, try to tell the Thanksgiving story.  Use the pictures on your sheet to help you.

看动画。

  Activity 4 Thanksgiving decorations

Students choose a drawing to colour.  When everyone is done, their pictures can be used to decorate the classroom for a few days.  You might want to have a contest for the best one.

 You can say, Let's decorate the classroom with Thanksgiving pictures.

学生选择一张图并给它涂上颜色。每人都做好后,学生可以用这些作品装饰几天他们的教室。教师可以评判一下,哪一个最好。
