  Activity 1 Look at learning outcomes

Ask the children to look at the learning outcomes for the lesson – you may explain what they are going to learn in Chinese.

  Activity 2 Identities info gap

Watch the movie.

Each student takes an info gap card.  Students will have to mingle around the room asking students questions in order to fill in their cards.  There is an identity for them at the top that they use when students ask them questions about what food they like?

For example, Student A will ask, What's your favourite food?
Student B answers, "I like _______ because it's/they're.
If the answer completes one of the blanks on the info gap card, Student A writes down Student B's name.

You can say, Mingle around the room.  Try to find out what foods people like.

Instructions may be given in Chinese.

  活动2:补充身份信息

看动画
每一位同学做一张身份信息填充卡。为了填充卡片,学生们必须随机凑在一起,在整个教室来回走动相互询问。当同学们问有关喜欢什么食物的问题时,同学们用的卡片顶部有一个统一的询问方式。

例如:学生A想问:What's your favourite food?
 学生B回答:I like _______ because it's/they're.
如果在信息填充卡上的一个空白 处填写一个完整的答案,学生A要将学生B名子写下来。

教师可以说:Mingle around the room.  Try to find out what foods people like.

教师可用汉语向学生解释。

  Activity 3 Around the room

Use the flashcards in this activity from the previous lessons.  This an activity used to reviewvocabulary in a fun way.  First choose a student and have them stand next to the student sitting in the first desk in the classroom.  (You may want to number your desks so that students will know which desk is 1, 2, 3 and so on.)  You quickly hold up a flashcard.  Only the student standing or the student sitting in the adjacent desk can yell out the correct vocabulary word.  If the student standing yells the word first, s/he then stands next to desk 2.  Show a second flashcard.  The two students compete with one another to yell the correct word first.  If the student sitting at desk 2 answers first, s/he then stands next to desk number 3.  The student standing next to desk number 2 then sits at desk number 2.  This continues around the room.  At the end, lots of students will not be sitting in their normal places.  You may choose to do the next activity at this point, which allows students to work with other students they normally wouldn't.  Or you could ask everyone to return to their proper desks. 

 You can say, Try to say the word before the other player. 
   Everyone else must listen only.

Instructions for this activity should be given in Chinese.

  活动3:围着教室转

在这一活动里,我们利用前边几课的动画卡片。这个活动习常用来以愉快的方式复习单词。首先选择一位坐在前面的学生,让一部分同学站到这位同学旁边。  (你也许想将你们的桌子编上号码,这样学生们就知道哪一张桌子是1号,2号,3号,等等) 教师快速举起动画卡片。只有站着的或是坐在邻近桌旁的同学可以大声叫喊出正确的单词。如果站着的学生首先大声说出了单词,那么这个同学就站在2号桌旁。展示第二张卡片。两位同学竞争看谁先大声说出正确的单词。如果在2号桌坐着的同学先大声说出了,这位同学就站到3号桌旁。站在2号桌旁的同学就要坐到2号桌的位置上。这个游戏在整个教室里继续。最后,许多同学不会坐在他们原来固定的坐位上。你可以根据选择下一个活动,就是说,让学生们与那些自己平常不在一起合作的同学来做这个游戏,或者教师可以要求每位同学回到他自己固定的坐位上去。

 教师可以说:Try to say the word before the other player. 
   Everyone else must listen only.

教师可以用汉语向学生解释。

  Activity 4 Running Dictation

Paste several copies of both of the Running Dictation texts either out in the hall or around the classroom.  Students work in pairs to answer the questions about the texts.  You should set some rules when doing this activity.  1) Students take turns.  One is the runner while the other is the writer.  2)  Runners are not allowed to take the question sheets with them while they try to find the answers in the text. 

You can say, Read carefully.  Try to find the answers in the text.  One student is the runner, the other student is the writer.  Then take turns.

  活动4:抢跑找问题

将要找的问题复印一些贴在教室或走廊内。学生两人一组来回答原文的内容。教师可为这个活动做出一些规定。1) 同学们轮流来做。一个同学为信使,另一个同学为文书。2)  信使们到原文中去寻找答案,但不能随身携带写有问题的单子。

教师可以说:Read carefully.  Try to find the answers in the text.  One student is the runner, the other student is the writer.  Then take turns.

  Activity 5 Pelmanism

Use the cards from Lesson 2 to use for a Pelmanism game.  Students can work either in pairs or in groups of three or four.
