| | Activity 2 Reading practice Explain that British and American children write letters to Father Christmas/Santa. Reading task 1: Let's have a look at a letter. While we read it I want you to answer these questions:
1. Is Laura a girl or a boy? (Laura is a girl – boys don't usually ask for dolls!)
2. What presents does Laura want? (You may ask this in Chinese) Dear Father Christmas,
I hope you are well. I have been a good girl this year and I have tried very hard at school.
I would like a bike and some new coloured pencils for Christmas. I would also like some clothes for my doll.
I hope you don't get too tired bringing all the toys. I will leave you some biscuits on the table.
