  Activity 2 Listening

Listening 1: Tell the children that while they are listening, they should write down the names of all the food and drink they hear.
Listen to the movie and write down the names of the food and drink  you hear.

Mum:  What do you want to eat?
Xiao Hong: Can I have a hamburger and French fries?
Wang Dong: Can I have a hotdog and French fries?
Mum:  Sure.  How about you
Dai Lisi: Can I have chicken and French fries?
Mum:  And what do you want to drink?
Xiao Hong: Can I have some juice?
Wang Dong: Can I have some coke?
Dai Lisi: Can I have some milk?
Waitress: What would you like?
Mum:  OK.  We'd like a hamburger and French fries, a hotdog and fries and a chicken and fries.  We'd also like a juice, a coke and a glass of milk.  And can I have a cup of coffee and a cake.
Waitress: Certainly.

Feedback: 

OK first of all – where are they?  Yes, good, they are in a restaurant.
Now what food and drink did you hear?  Let's make two lists on the board – one for food and one for drink.

Write the lists on the board.

Food
Hamburger
Hotdog
French fries
Cake

Drink
Juice
Coke
Milk
Coffee

  活动2:听力练习

听力1:要求学生边听边将他们听到的食物与饮品的名称写下来。

Wang Dong: 我能要一个热狗和一些薯条吗?
Mum:  当然可以。你要什么?

Xiao Hong: 我能喝果汁吗?
Wang Dong: 我能喝可乐吗?
Dai Lisi: 我能喝奶吗?
Waitress: 你想喝什么?
Mum:  好的。我们想要一个汉堡,一些薯条,一个热狗和薯条,一些鸡肉和薯条。我们也还要一些果汁、可乐和一杯牛奶。我还能要一杯咖啡和一只蛋糕吗?
Waitress: 当然可以。

  Activity 4 Writing

Get the children to make a menu using the worksheet.  You may want to brainstorm some other foods to add – noodles, rice, etc. or just use the vocabulary from the learning outcomes. (If you don't want to photocopy, you can draw a menu on the board for the children to copy onto some paper)

Let's make some menus.  Write down the food and how much it costs here and write down the drinks and how much they cost here.

让学生在作业本制作一菜单。教师可能想集体讨论增加一些其它的食品:面条,米饭等,或者只利用学习目标中词汇(如果你不想复印,教师可在黑板上画一菜单让学生们仿照画到纸上。)
Let's make some menus.  Write down the food and how much it costs here and write down the drinks and how much they cost here.

  
  
  Activity 5 Speaking

Put the class into groups of three.  Two should play the customers at a restaurant and one should play the waiter.  Use the role cards.


Role:   Waiter
Objective:  You want your customers to enjoy their meal
Target language: What would you like?
   Certainly.

Objective:  You want your child to have a good meal
Target language: What do you want to eat?
   Sure.
   What do you want to eat?

Role:   Child
Objective:  You want to eat your favourite food.
