  就具有相似音素且较难准确发音的词组或短语进行的练习称作绕口令。下面的这些绕口令练习可以改进孩子们的英语发音。
A tongue twister is a phrase in any language that is designed to be difficult to say properly. Tongue twisters rely on similar but distinctphonemes (e.g., s and sh). These are great as short activities that can be used as a fun way to practisepronunciation skills. With children it is probably best to keep the tongue twisters quite short and not too difficult to articulate.

With the following tongue twisters it would be possible to introduce the words first using flash cards or by drawing on the blackboard.

Begin by drilling the words individually, building up to the full tongue twister. For example,

1. "Red"

2. "Yellow"

3. "Lorry"

4. "Red lorry"

5. "Yellow lorry"

6. "Red lorry, yellow lorry"

7. "Red lorry, yellow lorry, red lorry, yellow lorry."

8. Increase the speed.

Play a game. Put your students into teams of four or five students. Ask one team to stand up. When the teacher says "Go!" the first student must say the tongue twister as quickly as possible. As soon as the first student has finished he/she must sit down and the second student then says the tongue twister. This continues until all the students have had their turn. The teacher times each group with a clock or stopwatch to see who can say it fastest. Insist on clear articulation from your students as the tongue twister may end up as an incomprehensibleslur.

Some other simple tongue twisters include:

Ten red hens

A cat in a black hat

A frog in a box

66 sick chicks

Black sheep, blue sheep
