|Brainstorm is a great activity for reviewing verbs, adjectives or nouns that can be played individually or in groups depending on the size of your class and the level of your students.|
Give your students a list of regular and irregular verbs and set them a time limit of 5 minutes to review these.
The teacher then writes something like this on the board : "things we do with our feet".
The students have exactly one minute to write down all the verbs related to this topic, such as: walk, kick, dance, run, jump, etc.
After the time is up, the teacher checks the students' lists of verbs. Each verb counts for one point. Any verbs appearing in the wrong list are eliminated.
The teacher then writes another topic on the board, "things we do with our mouth", for instance and the game is repeated.
Once your students have completed their brainstorm lists, give each group a large piece of paper and some coloured pencils and ask them to make a poster depicting their verbs.
