联想集团有限公司(Lenovo Group Ltd.,简称:联想集团)首席执行长杨元庆说,公司在服务器和存储领域看到了增长机遇,并计划在明年打入发达国家的智能手机市场。杨元庆周四在成都出席财富全球论坛(Fortune Global Forum)的间隙接受采访时说,联想希望扩大、发展服务器和存储业务,如果有收购机会,公司会抓住。
Lenovo Group Ltd. sees growth opportunities in servers and storage, and plans to enter smartphone markets in developed countries in the next year, its chief
executive said.
对于记者问到的有关联想与国际商业机器公司(International Business Machine)就收购后者部分服务器业务进行的谈判,杨元庆不愿发表评论。《华尔街日报》上月报道,联想与IBM的谈判遇阻,因为双方在价格上存在严重分歧。
'Servers and
storage is the business we want to
expand and develop,' Lenovo Chief Executive Yang Yuanqing said in an
interview on Thursday on the sidelines of the Fortune Global Forum in the
southwestern Chinese city of Chengdu. 'If there is an
acquisition opportunity we will take it.'
Mr. Yang declined to
comment on talks to buy parts of International Business Machines Corp.'s IBM -1.67% server business. The Wall Street Journal reported last month that discussions between the two companies had stumbled over the issue of price.
Mr. Yang said he sees continued opportunities in the personal-computer market, as PCs
evolve to develop more functions. 'The PC will not die,' said Mr. Yang, but 'the future PC is not the past PC.'
He said that sales of
hybrid products like Lenovo's Yoga
