Step 1 Warmer:
Give the students instructions and them have to follow
I.Mime running. Say ‘I’m running
quickly.’ Contrast this with ‘slowly’. Do the action and have the students respond.
II.Draw a ‘v’ and say ‘right’ and have the students repeat. Say to the students ‘I’m going to visit America.’ Smile and look excited. Say ‘I’m very excited.’ Have the students repeat. Then teach the rest words.
I.Play the tape and have the students listen and point. And find out the words or sentences they can’t read or understand.
II.Play the tape again and pause after each utterance. Have the students repeat it. Then assign
the role and read it.
III.Have the students close their book and repeat each dialogue and do any appropriate. Have the students practice in pairs.
1.Imagine that one student want to by a present for mother or another relative. The others should make suggestions for it. Imagine that one student want to buy a present for his/her.
2.Choose an object and wrap it like a present so that no one knows what it is. Then have the other students guess what it is.
Unit 2 I think line A is longer than line B

I.Revise these comparatives: bigger taller thinner longer shorter
II.Show a big circle
and small circle. A long line and a short line.
III.Label A and B and say ‘circle A is bigger than circle
IV.Show tow lines of the same length. Label them A and B. point to the lines and say ‘line A is the same as line B’. Have the students repeat it.
I.Got the students to look at the pictures. Ask ‘What are these?’ Then play the tape .get them to listen.
II.Have the students read the three questions that refer to the lines. Explain that they have to choose the altemative that they think is correct. Then have they measure
the lines. Get the students say A is the same as line B.
III.Ask what can the students see in picture 2. continue asking the students until someone who can see a vase and tow heads. And say ‘I agree’ or ‘I disagree.’
IV.Have the students talk about the answers in their groups or pairs. Make sure that they realize by the end of the exercise that both circles are the same size.
V.Draw some pictures: squares eleplants. say ‘ A is bigger /longer /larger … than B .’ and have the students say ‘I agree /I disagree
. I think … ’
Have the students finished the table by give reasons why someone might agree or disagree
with the statements .
